Cold and frosty walk
Kane is still mainly on his lead after his operation, you can see him standing on his back legs as his friends have arrived at the car park. He is going for a progress scan on the 23rd December, all going well I hope to get him back into training.
Meme
Cruz
Inca
On Sunday I met Grace with Kiah and Angela, Francesca and the poodles for a lovely cold & frosty walk. It was just beautiful the dogs came home the same colour they went out, no paw washing on return. Grace again took some fab photos of the dogs.

Happy 2nd Birthday to the Lucky Litter
Up date on Chi.
Hi Lisa
Two years, it is hard to believe. Chi has given us so much pleasure. To have a dog so tuned into me is wonderful but sometimes I wish he was slightly less enthusiastic about agility and dancing with dogs. He has a demo on tuesday dancing the Gay Gordons with me, we are not ready!
The sleeping photo comes from the bedtime routine. David puts all the dogs outside, then when they come in Chi is first in line followed by Voe outside the bedroom door. They wait in line until the door is opened then file in to their sheepskin rugs and stay there until morning, This routine started by accident but Chi is very fond of his sheepy and always has his head on it.
Chi is very proud of the agility photo, it was taken at our new agility field adjacent to our house. Yes we have 24 hour a day everyday access but since we took it over the snow or ice has stopped us from using it but just wait until the spring and I am determined that Chi will listen to me and show his true potential because his speed and coverage of the ground is fantastic as are his touch points and weaves. Chi will be joining Cash at the Woodside show on sunday lets hope that Zindelijk has to be pronounced at the prize givings!
Cheers to Chi's doggy and first parents, woofs to all brothers and sisters.

News from the other side of the world
Chloe from the first litter has really settled in her new life in New Zealand. Here is an update from them.
Hi Lisa, Chloe is fine and gorgeous as ever. She only spent 10 days in the UK with Sam's mum after we got across and has been with us since then. She loves it across here I think also and will do even more once new place is built as it's 930 sq m section. So, plenty of places to run about. We have a pet sitter come in every day for her and Foo, she thinks the world of her and cant believe how intelligent she is. She keeps telling us how quick Chloe has learned a trick, unfortunately usually we have already taught her. Chloe's happy though as she gets extra treats for it.
From Andy & Sam
Cash update.
Our first show went well 2 eliminations and one 5 faults. Felt sick on one elimination as it was a spectacular round he was way ahead of me so i could cut corners he was taking all his commands but then ran under a jump and carried on with the course - thank god. I was delighted he listened and didn't do his own thing coz he's very head strong on a course. Got 2 rounds on video but of course didn't get his best one. Another show next weekend will let you know.

As Kane is still recovering I was unable to run him in the 2nd BSD WC selection day, instead I ran the white dog which is the first reserve dog. Diane kindly gave me permission to run her Wilf WOW! he is awesome to run, speed, drive, enthusiasm, accuracy its all there, he only does what you ask him to, he gave me three fab runs. Thanks Di I really enjoyed running the little grey terv.

C-side show
Inca was a little star, he got 4th in the 1-7 jumping. He was off his head in the agility ring, inside really seems to blow his mind. LOL
Cruz broke his wait in jumping resulting in a E and the agility, well it had a DW but he did go on it the 3rd time without me having to hold his collar...... maybe we are getting there again.
Wish had a fab time watching.

Handful of E's
I went to North Downs show for the first time, nice show and venue. I had forgot how noisy indoor shows are. Why do people stand watching letting their dogs bark in the queue or just watching with their barking dog? :-(
I think the mistake's that I made were because my dogs could just not hear me, I was not close enough to help them with handling. Inca was doing a cracking run in 5-7 jumping I called him to turn but sadly he did not he went on to the wrong jump, I loved the course thanks Lisa.
When our 4-5 was moved to another ring it was put in first, this was great because the ring next to it was not running it was less noisy. Sadly with the weaves being un-pegged both my dogs got knotted up in them, strangely thou I train on un-pegged weaves all the time but these were the plastic shorter spaced type, I was pleased how they ran. I was back indoors by 1pm with no ribbons insight.
Cruz did freak at the DW again, I have worked really hard the last two weeks with him, playing ball, lots of treats, sending him up the DW at three different training venues with many different approaches, all this with no worries.
I thought we had it cracked again until the show, he avoided the jump before the dreaded DW as he must have clocked it already, he tries to leave the ring, the judge kindly said take him by the collar to put him over it, which I did as soon as his front paws are on the contact he runs over it?????????? Maybe this has helped as the last show I left the ring with him.
He happily does them in training with no problems, I have taken away the name and just say go go go like in training. I ran yesterday full of confidence that he was going to do it because he has done so well at training. I think he needs a shrink to clear his head. Seriously any suggestions welcome.

Kane is home
I collected him tonight he seems really with it, surprisingly more than I thought he would be. He has eaten his dinner with no probs, I have had to use a neck cradle to stop him getting to the wound as the buster collar was not working. We have been for our 5 minute lead walk, he is now sleeping in a giant cage to make sure he is not jumping on the sofa or going up and down the stairs.

Update on Kane
He had his operation yesterday to repair a Hernia and castrate him to hopefully reduce the size of his prostate. This time while they had him open they took a larger and deeper biopsy of the prostate as the vet is not convinced its not the big C. I now have another agonizing wait for the results to come back but at least the previous came back clear.
The vet rang in the afternoon to say that the op went very well but they are keeping him in at least overnight. :-(
I'm hoping I can bring him home today, yet another cage to put up for the next two weeks, but with Kane being seven he can cope a lot better than poor Meme.
I am concerned how to get him in and out of the van without having him jump as the wound site is just inside his hind leg, he does have the lower cage.
If you have any idea's for what to stuff Kong's I would love to know. I hope its not to noisy with fireworks this weekend as this will stress him out.

WAGs 3-7 com end Oct
I was going to post this last week after the Sunday, but with all what has been happening I did not get a chance.
I went to WAGs show the end of Oct, Meme did a fabulous clear round in her agility stopping on all her contacts beautifully. Cruz still has a hang up about the DW but did a really nice round in jumping and helter-skelter, he got the best G4 dog. Inca was a star he got 2nd in accumulator, 3rd in a agility and 4th in helter-skelter which was a real blast of a course, he got best G5 in all the above, this was he last G5 WAGs. The jumping he worked well but I wimped out on laying the weaves which put me the wrong side and I was unable to help him out for the next jump. He has found another gear. LOL

Ah! a get well message from Chi
Hi Meme, I'm your brother Chi. I hated to hear that you were ill, hope you are on the mend now so that you can be as daft as I am about this agility. I bark and scream I'm so fond of the fun and I never want to stop. I make my own course up, it is so much more fun than the judges ones. I love jumping, a-frames, tunnels, dogwalks and weaves plus all the other bits. Mum says she is ashamed of me but I have heard these judges saying I will be great when I get it together. I think I am great now!
Woofs Sis and get better soon.

Meme update
She kept down her lunch so I was able to bring her home again last night. She is on three lots of pills all to be taken at different times, 1 x 1/2 tablet an hour n half before food 1x 1/2 hour before food, then another 1 twice daily, takes a while to get her sorted bless her. The vet is very pleased with her progress but said she will never have an answer as to what made her so ill so quickly, and the lump that totally disappeared will remain unsolved. But at least she is well on the way to recovery albeit a little angry she is to rest HUH! thats all for now as i'm off to give her her chicken breast and pasta breakfast.

Meme update & Kane's results so far
I took Meme to the vets earlier this morning, she seems OK but they need to see that she can eat and keep food down, once again my little girl has been left there. They are putting her back on IV with more IV antibiotics. I can collect her later today if she has kept her lunch down.
Kane's results have finally came back, I did briefly put a bit on here about him but I was so terrified it would be cancer I could not write anymore so I deleted it. The good news is the biopsy taken from four areas of the mass are all clear of cancer, but the vet still wants to take another deeper aspiration when they open him up next week. He is having his hernia repaired and will now lose his man hood bits so no more puppies for him, hopefully this will help in reducing his prostate.

Meme has had a good night
She slept soundly all night on our bed, my legs and back know that! I have to take her back to the vets at 9am I am hoping she can stay with me after they have seen her, then I can bring her home and give her a much needed light meal.
Nightmare day :-(
Poor Meme was sick last night whilst I was at training I left her at home with hubby. I was not worried as I know she can eat her meal to fast sometimes. This morning she seemed very quiet, I went and had my shower but when I came out there were lots of fluid vomit on the carpets and poor Meme with saliva dripping from her mouth, shallow fast panting, whining in pain.
This was 8:10am I rushed her straight to my own vets in the hope a vet would be there, by luck as I got to the door my vet walk past inside and caught site of me, they don't open till 8:30am. She immediately examined Meme who was clearly in some degree of pain and discomfort. They sedated her and did an X Ray this showed clear of torsion but showed a dome shape? the vet suggested we endoscoped to see what was going on. She called me in and showed me a lump in the stomach wall OMG a tumour I held back the panic to find out what do we do now. The option she suggested was to open her up and take a biopsy. I had to leave my little girl there and ring at 2pm.
The time goes so slow. Thankfully I have a very good friend who I met with to take my other dogs for a long walk together. Whilst out walking I got a phone call from my vet, my heart missed a beat, she said good news there is no lump, its gone, very confused as to what we both see? she now thinks it could be a toxic poisoning of some sort, she has been on IV fluids all day with IV antibiotic I ask my vet if she can come home tonight and they agreed to let her home but to go back in the morning for more IV. I know she will be more settled here at home. More later I'm going to get my little girl.
