R.I.P. sleep tight my darling girlie

Never an easy decision to make, sadly today during her walk her back end totally collapsed, she tried desperately to keep up on all fours but it kept falling away.

but I guess with all this snow I would not be driving it anyway.

I put six on leads and mushed up the road for another walk around the valley. I took these shots from my phone today after the fresh downfall of snow we had through the night.

Fun in the snow today.

The blue sky, white fields were enough for me to brave 6 dogs on leads for a walk/slide across the snowy hills. We were out over two hours, playing find the tennis ball, catch the snow ball, we all had a great time, only Dollar started to get fed up with the snow balls that were growing in size on her knickers and in her paws. We came back to a nice warm house, they each had a chew stick while I thawed out with a hot choc drink. I hope to do the same tomorrow.

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME ..

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

I'm so pleased how my little girlie ran, this is her first time taking part at a show. Fab send on to the tunnel, (thanks Lin @ http://sunniday.co.uk/ )

I know I lost her up the DW, yes my fault. Still need more work at the weaves, but what I did notice is that the large dogs leave big holes either side of the weaves, I think this maybe why Wish could not get her rhythm in them. She is still not driving to the end of the see-saw like I would like, but she went on it confidently. All in all I think a promising start. We still have loads to work on, she won't be at KC shows till April time. Just need the weather to improve to get some much needed training going again.

The start of 2010

I still have no van. :-(



My boss and I had entered the Active Pawz show on 3rd January. He kindly offered me a lift with my dogs in his van. Really pleased to be able to go out and have some fun with my dogs. The weather was very cold but for a change we did not have that cutting wind.



We had 2 agility runs over the same course, combined 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, you could run or train your 60 secs in the ring your best score counted.



Cruz did a lovely clear and finished 4th in 4-5 combined,



Meme finished just behind him 5th taking 2 seconds off her trained clear round.






The jumping run, sadly I did not get Meme's run on video she finished 2nd, Cruz I pushed into the wrong weave entry taking an E, he was running so well I did not go back. Inca just knocked a wing on a turn.



We finished the day with a steeplechase run, this was a lovely fast flowing course, Meme came 2nd and Cruz 3rd.



The weather had now taken a turn for the worse, it was snowing hard and settling over the car-park as Peter was driving we decided to head for home. Thank you Peter for taking me and the dogs. Great show.

The end of 2009 (BANG)

Its was good to see out the end of 2009 with a bang!! but it was a shame it was my van's cam belt that caused the BANG :-(
On the upside I did not have to drive on New years eve to our friends house, as I'm not insured hehe......... Poor hubby had to drive.
I am still vanless until they fix the damage, its amazing how much stuff you store in your van that you miss when it is not with you.
