I went to Dartford and St.Edwards agility shows this weekend, did well on Saturday 6th with Cruz in 1-4 jumping and 6th with Inca in G5 agility, with a few clear rounds in other classes.
I ran Meme in speed jumping I was so pleased we got a clear in 21.66 seconds her brother Cruz did it in 21.25 and were both out the places :-(
Cruz got 6th in G3 agility, making my placed rosettes 6th. 6th. & 6th (Mmm three six's lol).
Kane did a brilliant grade 6 agility run I stopped him on all his contacts for another clear round.
I then got to run the little grey terv AKA Wilf , as Diane is out after a slip on the wet ground at Watford has her now wearing a leg splint.
What can say!!! Wilf is awesome to run he has his dads power.
Our first run we went clear and got a 7th in G3 jumping, next run was speed jumping my call was badly timed causing him to take a pole. Agility I lost him into a weave entry on a left turn but we had brilliant contacts. Did another brilliant clear in Helter-skelter. Thanks for letting me run him, I really enjoyed it. Wishing you well real soon x
Ian pup was at the same show looking very promising he just needs to learn the weaves like Meme and the places will be coming in.
Tumia was also there, he has just started puppy foundation training on agility equipment and enjoying every bit.

Dangers of Cocoa mulch in your garden (cross posted)
This message came to one of my friend's groups from Ali Taylor, Head of Welfare, Battersea Dogs Home. They gave permission for it to be passed on. Please read.
Jane Quote:Yesterday one of our dog agility friends experienced a tragedy and wanted me to pass a special message along to all of my dog loving friends and family. Please tell every dog owner you know. Over the weekend the doting owner of two young lab mixes purchased Cocoa Mulch from Target to use in their garden. They loved the way it smelled and it was advertised to keep cats away from their garden. Their dog Calypso decided that the mulch smelled good enough to eat and devoured a large helping. She vomited a few times which was typical when she eats something new but wasn't acting lethargic in any way. The next day, Mum woke up and took Calypso out for her morning walk. Half way through the walk, she had a seizure and died instantly. Although the mulch had NO warnings printed on the label, upon further investigation on the company's website, this product is HIGHLY toxic to dogs and cats.
Cocoa Mulch is manufactured by Hershey's, and they claim that "It is true that studies have shown that 50% of the dogs that eat Cocoa Mulch cansuffer physical harm to a variety of degrees (depending on each individual dog). However, 98% of all dogs won't eat it."Also included was the following information -Quote:Cocoa Mulch, which is sold by Home Depot, Foreman's Garden Supply and other Garden supply stores, contains a lethal ingredient called "Theobromine" . It is lethal to dogs and cats. It smells like chocolate and it really attracts dogs. They will ingest this stuff and die.
Several deaths already occurred in the last 2-3 weeks. Just a word of caution, check what you are using in your gardens and be aware of what your gardeners are using in your gardens. Cocoa bean shells contain potentially toxic quantities of theobromine, a xanthine compound similar in effects to caffeine and theophylline. A dog that ingested a lethal quantity of garden mulch made from cacao bean shells developed severe convulsions and died 17 hours later. Analysis of the stomach contents and the ingested cacao bean shells revealed the presence of lethal amounts of theobromine. PLEASE GIVE THIS THE WIDEST DISTRIBUTION! !

Bretons today
The day was dry :-) but the wind was very strong. I made handling errors with Cruz in his classes :-(
Inca worked really well 5th in G5 jumping & 3rd 5-7 ABC agility, 1st & 2nd place going to Tervs. Kane was a good boy it was totally my fault we messed up in the 6-7 agility, in the ABC he knocked a pole but then came out the tunnel lame, I think he must have ran on the middle cradle as it was placed on the bend of the tunnel, he seems ok now.
Got to watch Ian pup run for his first time, just needs to find the weaves like Meme, everything else is there and looking good.

ABC KC Q 1-7 Watford DTC, June 08
Watford today
Had a good day despite the wet conditions and very slippery ground, Cruz got 11th in G3 agility out of 266, Inca 15th, Cruz 16th in the KC ABC sadly Kane worked brilliant but fell over knocking his chin on a pole, I went round the outside to finish the course. My friend Grace with Kiah won the G1 jumping class with a fab run in 23 seconds, I love watching this pair run a course when they both get it right. Well done. We took the dogs for a long walk during the lunch hour they had sooooo much fun in the wet grass, the extra groeny is Bella. Enjoy the video sorry about the quality it is taken on a mobile phone.
