My brave sister Karen

All this news about Jade with her short lived battle with cancer is sad,
but my darling sister Karen has been fighting a battle with cancer ever since she was a teenager 1979. She has been in and out of hospital all of her life.
We as a family have been called to her bedside many a time, but Karen was not ready to say goodbye, her inner strength pulled her through, she amazed many doctors who at the time were caring for her, she is the bravest person I will ever know.

L-R Kayleigh & Kerrie
She was told she could never have children, but she has two fantastic daughters Kerrie (24) and Kayleigh (21) they make me very proud to be their aunt.

Kerrie now has a son Harry who was born at just 28 weeks last May, Karen has had some wonderful times with her grandson.
I am writing this as Karen has become very tired of her fight and is now sleeping all the time, waiting to be released from all this pain.
My heart is already broken, seeing her slowly fading away, but I find myself praying for her let go and find peace.
I will hold her close in my heart forever, cherishing all our lovely memories. She is more than just my sister, she is my soul mate, I hope my love for her will light her stairway to heaven. X
